Stirch Smith Productions is an independent film production and finance company, founded by Wayne William-Smith.
Wayne hails from the vibrant community of Stirchley, Birmingham. With a strong foundation in the performing arts, he trained at the prestigious Birmingham Theatre School and further honed his craft at East 15 Acting School. Wayne's early career saw him work with various theatre companies and secure minor roles in television and film in England. However, after the loss of a family member he discovered his true calling and made the bold decision to pivot towards producing, leveraging his creative vision to establish Stirch Smith Productions.
Stirch Smith Productions serves as a comprehensive production partner for independent filmmakers, offering expertise and support throughout the entire filmmaking journey, from initial development and financing to pre-production planning, guidance during principal photography, and meticulous attention to detail in post-production, helping to bring their unique visions to life.
Wayne currently resides in Indonesia. Despite this physical shift, the company remains a respected and influential force in the international independent film community. While film financing and executive producing have become the core focus of its operations, Stirch Smith Productions boasts a wealth of expertise and experience across all aspects of film production, from development to distribution, allowing it to provide valuable guidance and support to filmmakers worldwide.
In 2024, Stirch Smith Productions signed a co-production and first-look deal with the Indonesian film production company PT. Kreasi Film Internasional.
Through their collaborative co-production partnership, they aim to craft a slate of dynamic feature films that showcase a diverse range of stories, perspectives, and voices, breaking new ground in the world of Indonesian cinematic storytelling.
